Sharing with your contact details

We would encourage you to include your contact details, as this means that the Health and Wellbeing team will be able to contact you to offer a Care and Support conversation. A Care and Support conversation is a confidential talk and can be done face-to-face, over Teams or on the phone.

Our Health and Wellbeing team consists of trained and experienced colleagues who will be able to listen, provide support, and talk about your options if you have experienced any forms of bullying, harassment or discrimination.

Everyone’s experience is different. We will discuss all the options you have. This may be what support you personally need, or it could be the ways you can raise the matter in the Trust. Whatever the concern, we can help you to understand the steps you can take. Examples include accessing specialist support, seeking an informal resolution, guidance for making a formal complaint.

We will respect your confidentiality. We will not share any information regarding your report that identifies you as an individual, without your prior consent, unless there is reason to believe that there is a high risk if immediate harm., This is set out in our confidentiality and safeguarding policies Just because you make a report or meeting with us does not mean you have to take further action. Likewise, we will not take any further action without your agreement.

Sharing without your details

You can choose to share your experiences of bullying, harassment or discrimination without giving your name, department, contact number or email address. This is called an ‘anonymous’ report.

By making an anonymous report you are letting the Health and Wellbeing Team know what kind of behaviours are happening at UHL, and where and when they occur, so we can find patterns. However, because you have chosen not to share your contact details, we will not be able to get in touch with you to discuss the report further.

We know how concerning it can be for you to raise concerns and thank you for any kind of experiences you share so we can explore how and if we can address the issues more generally. If you do raise an anonymous report, we still want to make sure that you are supported and safe. You can still access a range of support services through our UHL Support section. <hyperlink to section on platform>

UHL takes anonymous reports seriously, and the patterns of behaviour we find will be shared with teams and individuals who are responsible for taking action, such as CMG leads. However, taking action is more difficult, so if you do feel comfortable to leave your details, please be reassured that protecting your identity will be a priority for the team.
